Infertility

Diagnosis is Key! Otherwise, a full refund of treatment cost is necessary

Antai Hospital has over 25 years of expertise and experience in the diagnosis & treatment of infertility. Infertility affects millions of people all over the world and has a significant impact in communities and societies. Globally, there is an estimate of over 50 million people suffering from infertility (Reproductive Biological Endocrinology, 2015). Our key philosophy that has guided us well over the decades is that there cannot be an effective treatment if there is no accurate diagnosis of the condition.

What is Infertility?

Infertility is a disease/condition of the male or female reproductive system where a pregnancy has not been achieved despite 12months or more of regular, unprotected sexual intercourse. We have clearly identified that infertility is not an independent disease, it has over 150 individual causes that can lead to the outcome of infertility. So, treatment can only be effective if diagnosis of the underlying cause(s) is clearly identified.

Why can we offer a full refund guaranteed?

Here at Antai Hospital, we believe a full refund is absolutely necessary when it comes to diagnosis & treatment of infertility. Firstly, the treatment outcome, whether effective or not, is clear and obvious for all parties involved, and does not need a third-party verification/proof. Outcome is whether the patient is able to get pregnant or not, and this alone can determine whether treatment was/was not effective. Secondly, your attending doctor is also fully aware whether administered treatment is actually effective or helping you overcome your infertility.

If a patient receives treatment at Antai Hospital, and does not get pregnant within a stipulated time, Antai Hospital guarantees a full refund for your treatment costs. This is our commitment to our patients.

Causes of Female Infertility

Out of the 150 causes of female infertility, 90% are due to organic diseases (diseases pertaining to an organ or tissue), which require surgery for effective treatment. The remaining 10% involve the mental state of patients (Depression, Anxiety, PTSD etc). Some examples include:

  • Tubal disorders where the fallopian tubes are either blocked, torn, absent, swelling etc that affects the fertilization process. This can be either a congenital disorder or an acquired disease.
  • Uterine Diseases/Factors which include Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, uterine malformation (septate uterus, naïve uterus etc), presence of cysts, tumours, or growths on the uterus.
  • Ovarian Diseases such as Teratoma, PCOS, POI
  • Imbalance in the endocrine system affects the production of certain crucial hormones, which therefore further impacts the reproductive system.
  • Pelvic adhesions and intrauterine adhesions, which can either be congenital or acquired, is also another common cause for infertility which affects ovarian and uterine functions.

The above mentioned are the more common causes, specifically towards the reproductive system. But it must be noted that factors outside the reproductive system which include your current mental state (almost 41% of infertile women have depression, 87% have anxiety), high blood pressure, diabetes etc also play a role in causing infertility.

Before going for IVF to treat your condition, please first undergo a systemic diagnosis to identify your infertility cause(s). IVF is only specific to the treatment of tubal disorders, and we do not want patients to blindly go for IVF, both wasting precious time and money. Diagnosis is very key in curing infertility. Antai Hospital will offer the most appropriate treatment based on your systemic diagnosis (both physical and mental factors involved) and medical history, and pregnancy can be a reality for you and your partner.
