Misconceptions on Lymphocyte Immunotherapy (LIT)
A reproductive immunological disorder is a significant reason behind unexplained recurrent miscarriages. Lymphocyte Immunotherapy (LIT) is one of the earlier treatments for immunological miscarriages. LIT was developed to build a tolerance in the mother’s body to the prospective father’s cells so that the immune system may accept subsequent pregnancies.
However, LIT has been an ineffective treatment for immunological miscarriage, and the treatment was suspended in the USA by the FDA in 2002.
Real Cause of Immunological Miscarriage
Research by Dr Chen Fenglin found that immunological miscarriage results from anti-embryonic antibodies produced mainly during an induced abortion procedure through damaged uterine veins. As a result, the anti-embryonic antibodies will attack the fibronectin layer of the embryo during subsequent pregnancies. It is not a result of the maternal body rejecting the prospective father’s cells (as previously suggested by LIT creators).
With Dr Chen’s findings, he developed a corresponding diagnostic and treatment method. The goal of the treatment is to stop the anti-embryonic antibodies from attacking the embryo during pregnancy. The diagnosis only involves blood tests and treatment is non-invasive, with a high success rate of 95%.
Recognition of Dr Fenglin Chen’s Research Findings
Dr Chen’s invention is considered a scientific breakthrough and received international recognition. The diagnostic and treatment methods are patented technologies, acknowledged in places such as the EU, US, and China since 2005.
Dr Chen is the founder and director of Antai hospital, a hospital specializing in preventing and treating recurrent miscarriages. Each year, the hospital treats 300-400 cases of recurrent miscarriages.
