What is Hyperemesis Gravidarum?
Dr. Chen Fenglin’s clinical research revealed that Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) is an allergic reaction towards Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG). However, hCG is a reproductive hormone and the main indicator of pregnancy. Hence, hCG must be present in the body during pregnancy.
So, what happens if you are allergic to the very reproductive hormone that is indispensable for the maintenance of a pregnancy?
Well, you will suffer from frequent severe vomiting as one of the reactions towards an hCG allergy, and the condition is termed “hyperemesis gravidarum.”
The complication of Hyperemesis Gravidarum – Recurrent Miscarriage
There are two main factors that can lead to an early miscarriage – uterine contractions and improper implantation. Hyperemesis gravidarum can cause both factors.
Uterine Contractions
Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) can lead to miscarriage because it involves frequent severe vomiting. As the uterus is made of smooth muscles, the uterus will contract each time you are vomiting. The uterus’ frequent contraction can potentially cause the embryo to be dislodged from the basal layer of the endometrium due to the unstable environment of the uterus. This will then lead to a miscarriage and even recurrent miscarriage if the HG is left untreated.
Improper Implantation (Low Progesterone)
Severe vomiting due to hyperemesis gravidarum can also lead to undernutrition and eventually miscarriage due to improper implantation caused by low progesterone levels.
Low progesterone is a complication of HG that can lead to miscarriage. Patients with HG will basically vomit out everything they consume. When there is no food left in the stomach, they might vomit bile, blood, stomach acid, or even the stomach lining.
As a result, patients will suffer from undernutrition, affecting the corpus luteum to produce progesterone. Progesterone is key to maintaining the pregnancy in the first trimester as it promotes the development of the chorionic villi. The chorionic villi are hair-like substances that form the placenta’s outer layer, and the “hair” acts like tree roots that burrow into the basal layer of the endometrium to ensure proper and secure implantation of the embryo. Secure implantation will reduce uterine muscles’ sensitivity and suppress contractions, providing a stable environment for the embryo to grow.
Hence, undernutrition resulting from severe vomiting affects the ability of the corpus luteum to produce sufficient progesterone. Low progesterone levels will hinder the development of chorionic villi and lead to insecure and improper implantation of the embryo. With improper implantation of the embryo, the embryo will be dislodged from the endometrium’s basal layer easily, and a miscarriage will occur. Patients will suffer from recurrent miscarriage if hyperemesis is left untreated.
Reproductive Immunity Disorder (anti-fetal antibodies)
Reproductive immunity disorder caused by anti-fetal antibodies is not a direct consequence of hyperemesis gravidarum. It is, however, a consequence of recurrent miscarriage. Recurrent miscarriage is a very prominent occurrence in patients with hyperemesis gravidarum. Many of them end up with reproductive immunity disorder caused by anti-fetal antibodies on top of hyperemesis gravidarum.
Both conditions must be treated to have successful pregnancies. Currently, only Antai hospital can diagnose and treat reproductive immunity disorder caused by anti-fetal antibodies. Click HERE to read more.
Symptoms of Hyperemesis Gravidarum
There are many symptoms of hyperemesis. Here are the three main symptoms:
- Severe vomiting
- Insomnia
- Excess salivation
- Weight loss during pregnancy
Not every patient will have all symptoms.
Diagnosis of Hyperemesis Gravidarum
Hyperemesis gravidarum will be diagnosed through:
- Electrolyte imbalance. Patients with HG will have electrolyte imbalance due to prolonged severe vomiting and bodily fluids loss (dehydration).
- Patients with HG will suffer from dehydration due to frequent severe vomiting and excessive salivation.
- Undernutrition is a common occurrence in patients with HG as their body vomits out all the food they consume.
Antai hospital’s hyperemesis gravidarum treatment
hCG Desensitizer:
Upon discovering that hyperemesis gravidarum is an allergy towards hCG, Antai hospital invented an hCG desensitizer to treat the root cause condition. The hCG desensitizer will take effect instantaneously. It is effective, has no side effects, and does not cause any deformities to the baby.
Antai hospital believes in treating the condition from the root cause instead of suppressing the condition’s side effects. Antai hospital has treated over 5000 patients with HG without the need for countless medications to maintain the pregnancy. Click HERE to read the testimonials.
Progesterone Supplement
Antai hospital will also supplement patients with progesterone to ensure that the embryo will be securely attached to the endometrium’s basal layer.
Reproductive Immunity Treatment
If you have suffered from recurrent miscarriage due to hyperemesis gravidarum in the past, you should check for reproductive immunity disorder caused by anti-fetal antibodies. Only treating hyperemesis gravidarum without treating reproductive immunity disorder will still result in a miscarriage. Dr. Chen Fenglin made a scientific discovery that anti-fetal antibodies’ presence accounts for 70 percent of unexplained recurrent miscarriages.
Currently, only Antai hospital provides the diagnosis and immunity treatment for reproductive immunity disorder caused by anti-fetal antibodies.
Antai hospital specializes in the treatment of recurrent miscarriage and provides a full refund for failed treatment.
